Frequently Asked Questions
-
Skateboarding is for everyone and has no minimum or maximum age.
All we ask is that you have a genuine interest in skateboarding or learning to skate.
For under 5 years old, please consider your child’s attention span or energy levels and if a 1-1 or group lesson would be most appropriate for them.
If in doubt please get in touch and we will be happy to advise.
-
Yes we do! As skating is an individual sport with no right or wrong way to participate, we often find it to be extremely rewarding for children with SEND or neurodiversity who may not resonate with traditional team sports.
Learning to skate can provide a personalised set of goals and challenges to complete at your own pace, as well as a fun sensory experience unlike any other.
We believe that skating is for everyone, and will work with you to make the skate lessons as accessible as possible for you or your child, so please get in touch with any further questions.
-
There is no one size fits all approach to answering this as everyone is individual and some may take to skating quicker than others.
However you might be suprised by how much progress can be made in even a single 1 hour lesson.
Usually in 1-2 lessons we can get you pushing, riding, turning and feeling confident enough to ride around on a board.
There is never any obligation to sign up for multiple lessons. Similar to many other hobbies or sports, progress is more about practice and time spent skating outside of lessons.
